Gardaí were today investigating several attempted child abductions in Tipperary.
All the children approached in Clonmel, Cahir and Thurles, Co Tipperary, were aged between seven and 10 years-old and refused to accompany their alleged abductors.
A Garda spokesman said the reported incidents would be investigated thoroughly but he would not comment on whether they were linked.
In the first incident on Thursday evening, a 10-year-old boy was approached by a man and a woman in a car described as small and grey.
When asked to get into the car, he refused and ran off.
The following afternoon, in Cahir, an eight-year-old girl was walking home from school when a man wearing a black helmet pulled up his vehicle beside her and offered her a lift.
A spokesman added there was no description of the vehicle.
On Saturday afternoon, also in Cahir, a man and a woman in a dark blue car approached a seven-year-old boy but he ran away.
