Garda searches were extended yesterday in the Crosskeys area of Co Cavan, where a quantity of bomb-making materials was uncovered last Friday at a house.
The search extended to derelict buildings in adjacent townlands and was carried out by local gardai and Special Branch officers under Chief Supt Colm Rooney, head of the Cavan-Monaghan Garda Division.
