Gardaí have named the off-duty officer who died when his car collided with a lorry in Co Cork last night.
Gerard Carey (38), from Monadrishane, Kilworth, Co Cork, died in the crash at Rathcormac, Co Cork. He was stationed at Blackrock, Co Cork.
A lorry driver, who was arrested shortly after the crash, is due to appear at Fermoy District Court at 11.30 a.m.
