Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars will be among the many artists who will perform in Belfast on November 6th for the annual MTV European Music Awards, the organisers announced yesterday.
They will appear at the main awards ceremony in the Odyssey Arena along with artists such as Coldplay and Jessie J. Snow Patrol will play in Belfast City Hall while the Red Hot Chili Peppers will play in the Ulster Hall.
The event is expected to generate more than £10 million (€11.5 million) for Belfast, according to the city council, which, with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, has contributed almost £900,000 to the cost of hosting the event.
