Three prisoners have been further remanded at Limerick District Court on charges in connection with a serious assault on a prison officer in Limerick Prison.
Paul Dixon (33), Brendan House, Brendan Road, Dublin; Gerard Longworth (18), Coole Park, Bohermore, Galway; and John Paul Scullion (19) of Cronan Lawn, Shannon, Co Clare, are charged that they intentionally or recklessly caused serious harm to Mr Alan Kavanagh at Limerick Prison on January 5th last, contrary to Section 4 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act.
The three were remanded in custody until May 9th.
