More than 500 mourners attended the funeral yesterday of Mr Darren Hickey (26), one of four men murdered by Chechen rebels in Grozny last month. He was "one of the kindest people I ever had the pleasure of meeting", a family friend told mourners at St Agatha's Roman Catholic Church, in Kingston-On-Thames, London.
Mr Hickey's parents, Ms Eamon Hickey and Ms Maura Hickey, from Daingean, Co Offaly, and Connemara, Co Galway, respectively, run a bar in Kingston.
