Manchester City said today that England striker Robbie Fowler had agreed to their personal terms and would sign from Leeds providing he passed a medical.

Fowler, who has been sidelined for much of this season with injury, agreed a four-year deal after the clubs agreed a deal of around £7million, said a statement on the club's website.

Reports said Fowler was earning £42,000-a-week at Leeds and had accepted a £7,000-a-week pay cut to link up with City boss Kevin Keegan.

The former Liverpool striker could make his debut alongside City's French international striker Nicolas Anelka against Newcastle on Saturday.
