FOUR people, including a woman who is in a very serious condition, were injured after a stolen vehicle collided with their car on the outskirts of Waterford city on Monday night.

The accident happened at about 8 p.m. when the stolen van, which was being driven by a Waterford man, crashed into an oncoming vehicle on Green Road, which connects the main Tramore and Cork roads about three miles from Waterford.

One of the passengers was later transferred from Waterford Regional Hospital to Cork with serious head injuries.

The condition of the other three people is said to be not as serious.
