Three gardaí and a man have been injured in a collision between a Garda patrol car and another vehicle in north Dublin last night.
The crash happened at Pinnock Hill in Coolock at around 9.30pm yesterday.
The driver of the second car is being treated for severe head injuries at Beaumont Hospital. His condition is described as critical.
The three gardaí were treated for minor injuries.
The Garda Ombudsman Commission is investigating the crash, which is standard procedure for an incident involving a member of An Garda Síochána.
