Four people, including a policeman, have died during clashes in Iran over suspected vote rigging in Friday's parliamentary election.

A local police official  said the violence began yesterday when the governor's office in the town of Firouzabad declared an unexpectedly high turnout in a tight race between a reformist and an Islamic conservative candidate.

Huge crowds gathered to protest and fighting broke out, leaving four dead and dozens injured.
