Four Chinese men appeared before Dublin District Court today charged in connection with the abduction of two other Chinese nationals. A fifth man is due to be charged later this evening.
The five, who are all students, were arrested yesterday evening on Amiens St along with two others. All five face a charge of false imprisonment while the additional two face a lesser charge relating to not having correct identification.
The arrests came shortly after the Gardaí had carried out a raid on a premises in Amiens Square in which detectives found two other Chinese nationals being held against their will.
The four men charged today were remanded in custody until March 25th.
