Kuala Lumpur - The former Malaysian deputy Prime Minister, Mr Anwar Ibrahim, said yesterday he was suing the Prime Minister, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, for damages on the basis of the findings which held police fully responsible for Mr Anwar's injuries suffered in police custody.

Dr Mahathir yesterday named the Foreign Minister, Mr Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, as his new deputy. In a major cabinet reshuffle Dr Mahathir also relinquished his position as home minister in charge of the police to Mr Abdullah.
