Madrid - Pamplona's annual San Fermin bull run entered its second day yesterday with one of its most dangerous runs ever as crowds of drunken and disorientated foreigners stumbled along in front of some of the most frightening bulls ever to stampede down its streets.
Heavy rain, huge weekend crowds and the ignorance of first-time foreign runners have been blamed for a terrifying start to the early morning event - with local commentators claiming it was a miracle nobody had been killed.
Yesterday's tally of three injured and the previous day's casualty list of six people gored was considered a light toll - given that the half-mile stretch of street was packed and the slippery cobbles made running treacherous.
