ABIDJAN - More than 200,000 people in Sierra Leone are in need of food aid as a result of the violence that followed a military coup in May in the West African country, the UN World Food Programme said yesterday. Hundreds of thousands of people have been uprooted from their homes because of fighting between forces supporting the new army rulers and West African troops trying to reverse the coup. - (Reuters)
