An investigation is under way at a Cork hospital after three patients had to be evacuated from an intensive care unit because of flooding.

The patients from the unit at Cork University Hospital were moved on Thursday evening after torrential rain seeped through the walls and roof. The hospital sealed off the rain ducts and put a pump on the roof to remove water.
