Sao Paulo - South America's largest city braced for more rains yesterday in the wake of flash-flooding that left seven dead. The mayor, Mr Celso Pitta, said the city had extended its state of emergency as firemen dug through rubble in slum areas where at least two people were still missing after record rains the day before.
