Five hurt in Limerick two-car collision

A woman and a seven-year-old child are in a serious condition in hospital today following a two-car crash in Co Limerick.

A woman and a seven-year-old child are in a serious condition in hospital today following a two-car crash in Co Limerick.

Two men and another child were also hurt when the cars collided at Rourke's Cross, outside the village of Croom at 5.30pm.

The woman and two children were knocked down by one of the vehicles as they were walking along the road.

All five victims, including the two male drivers of the vehicles, were taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.

None of their injuries are believed to be life threatening.
