Five Dublin men were yesterday remanded on bail for sentence on April 27th after pleading guilty to violent disorder at a Clondalkin nightclub.

Members of a Spiddal, Co Galway, hurling club were seriously injured in the incident at the Blue Banana Nightclub in the Jensen Hotel on November 12th, 1995.

The accused are: Michael McKenny (38), of Foxdene Grove, Clondalkin; Noel Hanlon (36), Decies Road, Ballyfermot, Bernard Brennan (37), St Mark's Drive, Kimmage; Jim Devereaux (37), Cherrywood Villas, Clondalkin; and Michael Green (37), Kilmartin Gardens, Tallaght.

The five and a woman were accused of committing violent disorder and of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on members of Cumann Iomanaiochta Chois Fharraige, Spiddal, Co Galway.

The State entered a nolle prosequi on all the other charges, and on all the charges on the indictment against the woman accused, who was then discharged.
