Employment in the construction industry is down 1.3 per cent, figures released by the Central Statistics office today show.
The decrease was recorded in the year between November 2001 and November 2002. The monthly employment index decreased from 130.0 in November 2001 to 128.3 last November.
The figures are based on surveys of private firms employing five or more people.
