Formula One's governing body has rejected speculation Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix was in doubt after the air strikes on Afghanistan.

"Information circulating on the Internet suggesting that the Japanese Grand Prix is in doubt is completely untrue," the International Automobile Federation (FIA) said in a statement.

"The Japanese Grand Prix will take place as scheduled on the 12th, 13th and 14th of October".
