Fianna Fail have been wiped out in Kildare North, losing both their seats in the constituency.
In Kildare North, Fine Gael's Bernard Durkan topped the poll, followed by Labour's Emmet Stagg and Independent Catherine Murphy. Fine Gael's Anthony Lawlor beat Labour's John McGinley in the race for the fourth seat.
Fianna Fáil incumbents Aine Brady and Michael Fitzpatrick lost their seats.
In Kildare South, Martin Heydon of Fine Gael and Jack Wall of Labour were elected on the first count. Fianna Fail's Sean Ó Fearghail was elected on the seventh count without reaching the quota of 9,568.
