Fianna Fail selected candidates to contest the general election in three constituencies at the weekend.
Mr Noel Treacy TD, Mr Micheal Kitt TD, Mr Pat Finnegan and Mr Joe Callanan were selected in Galway East. Ms Cecilia Keaveney TD and Dr James McDaid TD were nominated in Donegal NorthEast.
Mr Hugh Byrne TD and Mr John Browne TD were chosen in Wexford. But more than 100 delegates walked out of the Wexford convention last night in protest at the MacSharry committee proposals which selected the two sitting TDs.
