Fás has agreed not to take any steps to sack its director of health and safety, Greg Craig, pending a High Court determination in October of his purported dismissal three weeks ago.
The State training agency has also agreed to pay Mr Craig’s salary until the end of November, the balance of his entitlement to notice under his contract of employment.
Oisín Quinn SC told Mr Justice John MacMenamin yesterday that Mr Craig, Greenlea Grove, Terenure, Dublin, was accepting the salary payments without prejudice to his contention that his employment had not been validly terminated.
