One device was thrown through a window of a house in Larne, Co Antrim, and another at the back door of a home in Coleraine, Co Derry. Both failed to explode.

The attack in Old Glenarm Road, Larne, was carried out at 7.30 p.m. on Sunday while a man and two boys - thought to be Protestants - were at home. They were unhurt.

Meanwhile, a man, his wife and their 12-year-old daughter escaped harm when a device was thrown at their home in Harpur's Hill, Coleraine, at about 11.30 p.m. on Sunday.
