Moscow - President Yeltsin's former chief bodyguard, Mr Alexander Korzhakov, said yesterday the Russian President's aides were hiding facts about his condition.

Mr Korzhakov, now a member of parliament, said Mr Yeltsin was taken to hospital this week a day earlier than the Kremlin announced, but Mr Yeltsin's press secretary hit back, denouncing him as a self-publicist.
