Ex-RUC man guilty of rape

A former RUC bodyguard broke down yesterday when convicted of the rape of a woman police reservist. Eric Alexander Millar (47), a father of two, wept and his wife Anne gasped as a Belfast Crown Court jury convicted him of the serial rape of his 26-year-old victim. He had denied a total of seven rape charges committed between 1988 and 1993. Millar, whose address was given as c/o of Lisnasharragh RUC, will be sentenced on Monday.
