Paris - A self-confessed serial killer described in court as the "incarnation of evil" was given the maximum sentence of life imprisonment yesterday for the rape and murder of seven young women in the 1990s.

Guy Georges (38) must serve a minimum 22 years but might never be released after psychiatrists warned that he was a psychopath who could not be cured of his desire to kill.
