Up to 3,000 manual workers in the Eastern Regional Health Authority area are expected to march through Dublin tomorrow in protest at delays in receiving pay increases due under Partnership 2000.

SIPTU branch secretary Mr Paul Bell said progress had been made in talks with management but this had been insufficient so far to call it off.

He said that emergency cover would be provided during the march. His members' patience was exhausted because they were still waiting for pay increases due last April, as well as holiday premiums and other allowances.
