An Englishman appeared before a special sitting of Sligo District Court yesterday accused of assaulting and causing harm to a Frenchman.
Mr Gavin Preston (21), from Hampshire, was remanded in custody until Thursday for allegedly injuring Mr Roger le Blanc (57). Mr le Blanc was taken to Sligo General Hospital in a "serious condition", the court was told.
