The Burning Question: What will you do when you finish school?

I want to do an electrician's apprenticeship because that's what my sister's boyfriend does and it sounds good when I talk to him about it. You can apply to CIE to do it and then they send you on a F┴S course. I might think about college, but it depends how I do in the Leaving - I could repeat I suppose. But I really like the idea of money straight away with the apprenticeship.

I want to do physiotherapy. I'd prefer to study here, but I have looked at some English colleges because you need about 500 points here. I want to be a sports physio. I play football - I had a chance to play with Bohemians during Transition Year. If I could play soccer professionally, that would be my ultimate dream. I might play league of Ireland soccer when I finish school.

I would like to be an architect. I'm really into design and drawing and there are some good courses in England that I'm looking into. I had thought about the army at one stage, but I just lost interest. It is good to look at the brochures and find out about courses and jobs so you can make a better decision about what to do - you never know, I might change my mind again.

I want to join the fire service. I'd rescue cats out of trees for old grannies. I think it would be really interesting, doing all the different things, although I think the training is supposed to be tough. I had also thought of joining the Garda. There is no way I would go to college, third level is just not for me. I can't wait to get out of school as soon as possible.

I would like to be an actor. I want to join a local acting group near us. I'd do a degree in drama and get experience in the local theatres. My favourite school subjects are English and Irish - I'm not a science or maths type of person. I would prefer to go to an Irish college, but I will definitely go on to third level. It's good to get information, so you can consider want to do.
