A man was remanded in continuing custody by the Central Criminal Court yesterday after he admitted raping and wounding a 16 year old girl in a Dublin city centre park in 1996. Brian Shevlin (20), of Summerhill, Dublin, pleaded guilty to rape, oral rape and malicious wounding at Mountjoy Square Park on September 21st last year.
Mr Justice Carney ordered the preparation of probation and psychiatric reports on Shevlin and a victim impact report.
