The European Commission has approved the takeover of French building materials firm Doras by CRH and French group Samse.
The Commission said the takeover, which will see CRH and Samse acquiring an equal stake in Doras, would have no more than a marginal effect on competition.
Based in eastern France, Doras had turnover of €246 million last year. Samse is based in the Alps region and had sales of €459 million in 2002.
