Two Dublin men, Mr Michael Cahill (42), of Raheen Park, Ballyfermot, and Mr John Lawless (40), of Swan Grove, Ranelagh, appeared in Dublin District Court yesterday on a charge of possessing housebreaking implements at Rathgar Avenue on May 2nd. Garda William Dempsey told the court the defendants were observed by a Garda patrol in the Harold's Cross area around 5 a.m. and were arrested.
Mr Cahill said he was electing for trial in the Circuit Court and was remanded on bail to October 28th. Mr Lawless elected for the District Court and was remanded on bail to October 21st.
