Three organisations have regretted the Supreme Court ruling that parts of the Employment Equality Bill dealing with the rights of disabled workers are unconstitutional.

The Irish Council of People with Disabilities will tomorrow launch a national campaign to have a nondiscrimination clause inserted in the Constitution.

Rehab has urged political parties to take "whatever steps are necessary" to ensure that the rights of those with disabilities are protected.

The Forum of People with Disabilities has also announced its "shock" at the ruling.
