following the discovery of suspicious device the railway line.A spokeswoman for the RUC said officers are on the scene but theongoing operation has been hampered by fog.An alert was raised this morning through an anonymous telephonewarning.Translink, the Northern rail company, said the line will be closed asa search of the area is conducted. Buses will run between Belfast andNewry.On the Dublin to Belfast service, Iarnród Éireann said there will bebus transfer between Newry and Belfast until the alert is over. Itsaid the situation could continue for a number of days.
