An unemployed man from Derry with an address in Co Donegal appeared before a Derry court on firearm charges yesterday.
Mr Patrick Colm Canning (32), of Swilly Terrace, Buncrana, is charged with possessing a rifle, a .38 Webley revolver and a quantity of ammunition. The offences are alleged to have occurred at a flat in the Bogside on February 25th 1991.
The defendant, who denies the charges, was remanded in custody for one month.
