Minneapolis - Gregory Corso, a major Beat poet, died late on Wednesday in a Robbinsdale, Minnesota hospital of prostate cancer, close friends said. He was 70.
Corso's most famous 1950s poems included "Bomb," a mock love sonnet to the atomic bomb published in the shape of a mushroom cloud.
