Data storage firm to open Dublin R&D unit

An American electronic data storage firm, is to establish a research and development unit at Blackrock, Co Dublin.

An American electronic data storage firm, is to establish a research and development unit at Blackrock, Co Dublin.

The company, StorageTekalready employs 12 staff at its Blackrock office and will initially hire another two for research and development.

Welcoming the announcement, the Tanaiste, Ms Harney, said Ireland offers benefits such as skilled staff and a "successful track-record" in supporting R&D investments from multinational firms.
