London - An illuminated 13th-century French prayer book made for a crusader to the Holy Land was sold yesterday at Sotheby's auction house to a private collector for £2.75 million. The book, known as the Burdett Psalter, was probably commissioned by Jean de Villiers, Grand Master of the Knights of St John.
