Republic of Ireland and Bohemians striker Glen Crowe will miss the remainder of the league season after seeing a specialist about his knee injury.

Crowe, the eircom League's top scorer, damaged his knee a fortnight ago in a collision with strike partner Paul Keegan and saw a specialist earlier this week to assess the injury.

The verdict was a six-week recovery period, scuppering any hopes Crowe had of making a comeback in Bohs' final five matches of the season.

Leaders Bohemians, seven points clear of Shelbourne at the top of Premier Division table, take on Drogheda tomorrow night. Shels have a chance to close the gap to four if they can beat Derry City at the Brandywell tonight.
