Zagreb - Croatia's moderate government has survived a confidence vote in parliament called by the Prime Minister, Mr Ivica Racan. The vote concerned a decision to hand over war-crimes suspects to The Hague UN war crimes tribunal.
A total of 93 deputies from the 151-seat parliament backed Mr Racan over the move to co-operate with the tribunal, while 36 voted against the move. Mr Racan told deputies a refusal to co-operate would prevent Croatia integrating with the rest of Europe.
