Dublin City University, in line with universities across the State, is now home to a Free Legal Advice Centre (Flac), set up by two final year BCL students, Elaine Marum and Rebecca Townsend.

These confidential law clinics, which are expected to start in February, are supervised by a qualified practitioner and have an emphasis on giving information, not legal advice, on legal concerns to students.

Members take part in mandatory training seminars on topics like landlord and tenant law, public order, employment and equality law, in order to participate.

DCU Flac is also collaborating with Flac in UCC on a campaign of student debt.
