Masked raider armed with knife robs Co Wicklow shop

A masked thief armed with a knife robbed a service station in a Co Wicklow town yesterday evening.

The incident took place at the shop on the Dublin Road in Arklow, at around 5pm when the man threatened staff and demanded cash.

He left the service station on foot and a short time later gardaí arrested a man in his twenties in connection with the robbery.

He is being questioned at Arklow Garda station.
