A man in his 20s has been arrested after gardaí seized heroin worth an estimated €500,000 at a house in Dublin.

Gardaí from Sundrive Road and Crumlin Garda stations searched the property in the Crumlin area at about 7pm on Monday.

They found heroin, mixing agent, bagging equipment, weighing scales, mobile phones and documents during the search.

The arrested man was taken to Sundrive Road Garda station and can be detained for up to seven days.

The search was part of an intelligence led operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Drimnagh and Crumlin areas. The Regional Armed Support Unit also participated in the raid, a Garda spokesman said.
