Four held after haul of jewellery discovered in Rathcoole

Car searched yesterday afternoon by members of the Organised Crime Unit

Four men were arrested yesterday after a quantity of jewellery was discovered in a car in Rathcoole in Dublin.

The car was stopped by members of the Organised Crime Unit as part of ‘Operation Fiacla’ yesterday afternoon.

Three men, two in their 20s and one in his 50s, appeared before a sitting of Blanchardstown District Court charged in connection with the investigation. The fourth man, in his 50s, was released without charge and a file will be prepared for the DPP.

The jewellery disccovered includes watches, rings, chains, bracelets and pendants. Pictures of the items can be viewed on www.garda.ie.
