The Irish rock group The Cranberries said it has decided to keep its new music video off the airwaves following last week's attacks on the United States because of footage showing planes flying over skyscrapers.

"It is widely felt that some scenes within the video are too closely related to images of the recent tragedy in New York, although the video had been filmed long before this horrific incident," the band said in a statement on its website.

"The band has decided to remove the video from official circulation until a re-edit is completed. A new release date will be posted as soon as we know it, the statement said.
