The last remaining bachelor in The Cranberries rock group, Mike Hogan (25), was married in Limerick yesterday.

He married local hairdresser Siobhan O'Carroll from Cloonagh, who was celebrating her 24th birthday on her wedding day.

The ceremony was performed by Fr Fred Waters, New Jersey, a friend of the groom, in St Mary's Church, Athlunkard Street. The groom's brother, Noel, another member of The Cranberries, was best man, and the bride was attended by five bridesmaids.

The bride's dress in crushed chiffon ivory was designed by Belfast designer, Catherine Morrison. She wore a solid silver tiara engraved with seven tiny gold daisies. The two other band members, singer Dolores O'Riordan and drummer Fergal Lawler were also present. O'Riordan was accompanied by her Canadian husband, Don Burton.
