Builders heard the sound of cracks today in the roof of a Paris airport terminal where part of the ceiling collapsed earlier, an airport spokesman said.

He said the workers were evacuated as a precaution.

The terminal 2E at Charles de Gaulle airport has been closed since Sunday's accident killed four people, but workers are there clearing the rubble and trying to ensure the building is safe.
