London - The British couple at the centre of an Internet adoption row yesterday decided not to appeal against a court ruling that the twin girls must be returned to the US, writes Rachel Donnelly.

The Court of Appeal in London ruled on Monday that it would "not be in the welfare interests" of the twins, known by the Kilshaws as Kimberley and Belinda, for them to be returned to the couple.

The Kilshaws paid a US based baby broker more than £8,000 for the girls last year.
