A husband and wife were tonight appearing in court on charges linked to a 130lb bomb find in Northern Ireland.

The fully primed device was discovered on Tuesday at a house in Sixmilecross, Co Tyrone - 11 miles from Omagh where dissident republican terrorists murdered 29 people three years ago.

A 28-year-old man and his 25-year-old wife have been accused of possessing explosives with intent to endanger life.

They were due to appear at a special sitting of Omagh Magistrates Court, an RUC spokesman said.

During follow-up searches linked to the find another man and woman were detained in the Newtownbutler area of Co Fermanagh.
